About Reepham Lions
We’re a group of like-minded people from the Reepham area who are fundraising to support individuals and organisations in our local community and beyond. We’re a Community Interest Organisation (CIO) registered with the Charity Commission.
The money we raise goes to projects our members have chosen to support, mostly in Reepham and surrounding villages.
Sometimes we contribute to national and international campaigns run by Lions GB and Lions Clubs International.
The Lions’ ethos is “we serve”. Our focus is on volunteering for the good of those around us, but we like to have fun while we do it.
Meetings
We meet monthly in Reepham, normally on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in St Michael’s Church Hall, Reepham. Drop us an email at reephamlions2@gmail.com or fill in the contact form on this website if you’d like to come to a meeting so we can confirm. We welcome potential new members and visitors.
The Social Side of Lions
We have a number of informal get-togethers during the year, including quizzes, walks and our annual Charter lunch.
The Story So Far
Reepham Lions was established in September 2018. Since then we’ve regularly made donations to good causes. In the local area donations have included helping Reepham Scouts install a new kitchen in the Scout Hut, supporting the Reepham Good Neighbour Scheme and sponsoring new shirts for the Cawston Red Rose girls’ football team. In the county, causes we’ve supported include the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, Norwich Riding for the Disabled and the Cromer Foodbank. We’ve helped meet international needs too, including sending a donation to the Australian Bush Fire Appeal in early 2020.
You can find details of many of the projects we’ve undertaken on our News page.
