The Christmas Tree Festival held in St Mary’s Church was once again a huge success both from a community perspective and a financial one. There were 26 beautifully decorated trees in the Church and they were enjoyed by over 1000 visitors over the five-day Festival.
A total of £1,192 was raised through sponsorships and donations at the Festival. This wonderful total has been shared equally between Reepham Lions and St Mary’s Church. The sum was presented to Rev Helen Rengert by Reepham Lions President, Brenda Gostling, after the Christmas Carol Service in the Church.
We’re hugely grateful to everyone who sponsored, decorated or visited the trees. Visitors voted for their favourite tree, with the winner being the tree decorated by Reepham Scouts, which featured decorations inspired by scouting, including tiny neckerchiefs, maps and compasses, campfires, bedrolls and archery targets. Huge congratulations to everyone who helped to create them!
Runners up in the vote were the trees sponsored and decorated by the Cutting Station and Reepham WI.
